Beekeepers are only allowed to sell honey in the standardized jars of the German Beekeepers' Association, which are subject to the significantly stricter quality criteria than those stipulated in the German Honey Ordinance. These honeys are recognizable by the distinctive jars with the quality seal of the German Beekeepers' Association including the control number.
