How much Mummelsee is located in the center of the great hiking region Black Forest, you can see by looking at the signpost boards at the hotel. The famous long-distance hiking trail with the red rhombus (Westweg from Pforzheim to Basel) passes by here, as do the other regional routes (blue and yellow rhombus) and circular hiking trails. Up to the Hornisgrinde (1.5 km and 120 meters of altitude) it is only a short trip.
But the distant view over the whole Black Forest, into the Rhine Valley or into the Vosges is great and tempts for further tours. Plan your own goals. Without haste and record tours.
